I have been teaching English professionally to foreign students since 2000. I have thousands of hours of classroom and private teaching. I can guarantee results as each lesson is tailored to that specific student’s needs.

I have been teaching English to foreign students since 2000, I have thousands of hours of classroom and one on one teaching experience. I am highly qualified and confident in providing excellent English language development. I have taught high-net worth individuals, powerful businessmen, and helped many Russian children improve their English, so allowing them to enter the school or college their parents desired. I consider myself to be caring and thoughtful to the student’s needs and always try to make the learning experience positive and as fun as possible.

I was born and brought up in Bournemouth, which is a seaside tourist town in the UK. One of its main industries is ELT. So, I was surrounded by foreign students from a very early age. I gained my CELTA certificate in 2000 and have been teaching ever since. In fact my first teaching job was at Bournemouth College Of Further Education, actually working alongside some of my course tutors, which was an amazing experience. I then taught at Bournemouth Business School International before settling at United World School in Bournemouth, where I taught for almost ten years. I left Bournemouth to teach in Russia as I wanted something new and exciting.

I am self-motivated and positive, which helps me organize and motivate my students. I have been teaching English in Moscow since 2010, so I feel I have a good understanding of how to relate to Russian students. Until the recent coronavirus situation all of my lessons were «face to face». However, I have now had to adapt and have been able to move my teaching skills online as well as continue with the traditional format. My students come to me with many different needs and no one individual is the same. Each course/lesson is tailored towards their specific needs. My father was a bespoke tailor and specialized in hand made suits, perhaps this is where I gained this particular trait from. I have taken students from Elementary to Advanced level and watched with pride as they have achieved entry into academies or obtained the job/promotion that they wanted.

I love animals, music and exercise. I have had dogs all my life and I now have a little chihuahua called Chi-Chi who is very loved by myself and my wife. So, we spend a lot of time walking around the parks with our dog in the summer. I was a professional musician/bass player in the early part of my life and went to music college in Bournemouth. I played in various bands and with hundreds of DJ’s in the earlier days of house music before becoming an English teacher. I try to keep as fit as possible by visiting the gym up to 5 days a week. I also enjoy watching sport. I strongly believe in «A healthy body for a healthy mind».

I have over 20 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language, in that time I have met and dealt with many different students and many different personalities. In Moscow my students have included HNWI’s, politicians, professional football scouts and analysts, teenage «internet superstars», bankers, journalists, lawyers, architects, scientists and of course many children, the list is almost endless.

I believe that it is my honesty, integrity and passion for teaching that has driven my career. I can also say, that I have helped people develop their English and improve their life opportunities.
