Анастасия Михайловна Федорова

Greetings! My name is Anastasia. I was born in Moscow and I grew up in the US, graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a BFA. Since 2007 I’ve been working in radio broadcasting as a presenter and producer. In 2011 I started working as a Moscow based correspondent for Washington DC bureau of Voice of Russia. Since then I developed my journalism career having worked with Sputnik, RIA news, and Reuters. I’ve been freelancing as an English tutor since 2015. I’ve been working with private and corporate clients, like Beeline, Zarubezhneft, Danon, Dormakaba, Viessman, Repsol, and others. Currently I work with the general director of Samsung Russia and I teach various clients at Sportmaster. I teach through communicative approach. I have several textbooks that I like to work with depending on the needs and interests of the client, also I have my own methodology that I like to use, as it reinforces the material in textbooks and gives lessons a more contemporary feel.
I have also been working with children of various ages. My tiniest client currently is two years old. With the smallest listeners I like to teach through play. I follow Maria Montessori and Reggio Emilia approach, where the child guides the play and learns the language by exploring the world.
My professional field is in journalism. I’ve got excellent delivery and communication skills, I’m very flexible understanding different needs of a listener.
